Viator - Saloon

Viator is now vacant ready to move straight onto. All equipment is provided for immediate sailing.

The saloon area is continued from the galley with a half bulkhead separating the two. There is space here for a dining table and chairs. The entire saloon has a hard wearing fitted carpet with underlay.

Forward of this bulkhead is a fitted office area consisting of two large and two small drawers, a solid oak desk with cable management, a small cupboard above and a slightly larger cupboard on the right hand end of the desk. There a double mains power point below with an unused mains cable to the top cupboard. There is a smoke alarm attached to the ceiling here and a wall mounted CO2 detector.

On the port side is a bed settee (included in sale price) with further fitted cupboards and shelves twowards the front of the saloon. Below the chine area has been stepped in forming a low shelf, below which is a conduit for the bow thruster hydraulic pipes, and the wiring for the anchor winch. Below the gunwhale are two led down lights with switches for these and the main cabin lights (4 x LED).

At the front of the saloon is a large solid oak fitted dresser style unit, with cupboards below, a large glass fronted display cabinet above with shelving to each side designed and built by JD Narrowboats of Shardlow. The port side cupboard contains the Jabsco ParMax 4 pressurised water pump which supplies water to the entire boat along with the accumulator tank which helps to maintain water pressure. The feed from the water tanks in the bow runs into the cupboard at high level. There is also an access hatch here for the hydraulic bow thruster - the oil reservoir for this is mounted inside the cupboard so there's no need to undo the hatch should it need topping up (it never has in 12 years).

On the starboard side of the saloon the chine has again been stepped in providing a low shelf. Below is the 12v Jabsco adjustable speed circulation pump which supplies hot water to radiators in the kitchen and bedroom. The oil feed for the Bubble stove is also in this area. Above is a double mains socket and an aerial point.

There is a small fitted bookcase before the Bubble Oil Stove which is supplied by a separate diesel tank in the engine room. This stove was fitted in 2015 and features a large back boiler and a 'coal effect' burner box. It is very efficient and heats the entire boat well in the coldest of weather - full lighting instructions are provided. Forward of the stove there is a 12v supply which we use for the supplied 12v TV, but could be used for any 12v appliance. Forward again is a double mains supply. There is a further aerial point here which is connected to the supplied satellite dish which is magnet mounted on the front of the cabin.

Again below the gunwhale are two led downlights and switches for these and for the two led cabin lights at the very front of the saloon.
